Why are the patterns in blue text? I want to print in black to save ink.
The patterns are in blue text because I find that blue and white reads much nicer, it's not so stark. I have also noticed that colored pages stand a better chance not to get lost in the household paper shuffle.
If you would like to print in black, that is of course not a problem at all. You simply choose "print grayscale" in your printer settings when printing and the pages will print in black and white, saving color ink. Please download and print the free sample pattern below to try this out.
How do I print my patterns?
Open the pattern file. Go to file > print. A window will pop up. The most important thing is that you turn 'page scaling' off. The patterns need to be printed at 100%, the page scaling function needs to be set to off or you will not be printing the correct size. Every pattern has a line with a lenght next to it so you can check.
