About the sizes
Because of the huge variety of dolls it sometimes is difficult to know if a certain pattern will fit your specific doll. Our patterns all have a 6 letter/number code that tells you what size doll they will fit. I will explain in some more detail.

Patterns that start with code BD05 will fit small dolls, 12cm. These dolls are fully plastic and can move their little arms and legs. These patterns will fit Baby Born miniworld® and similar dolls.

Patterns that start with code BD13 are suitable for soft, full figure baby dolls, 36cm. These dolls have a fabric body, fabric upper arms and upper legs. The head, hands & underarms, feet & lower legs are all vinyl. These dolls can move really well. Our patterns will fit Zapf® Baby Chou Chou® and similar dolls.

Our patterns beginning with code BD14 will thinner fabric/vinyl combination dolls, 38cm. These dolls have, when you compare them to the other dolls we create patterns for, a much smaller head. They also have much longer arms and legs if you look at their height. The patterns will fit Bitty Baby® and Bitty Twins® dolls made by the Pleasant Company® and dolls similar to these.

When patterns start with code BD16, they are suitable for 43cm baby dolls. These all vinyl dolls have a larger head and relatively short arms and legs. They do not move all that well but we make sure that we adjust for that in our designs. These patterns will fit Zapf® Baby Born® and similar dolls.

Patterns starting with BD17 are suitable for dolls of 46cm length. These dolls are actually off very similar size as the BD16 dolls, they are a little bit thinner and have longer arms and legs. These dolls are partially made of fabric and move really well. The doll clothes you create will fit Zapf® Annabell® and similar dolls.

Last but not least there are the BD18 patterns. This is our line for the largest doll we use. These are lovely round baby dolls made from a combination of fabric and vinyl. They have long arms and legs and move really well. Patterns with this code will fit Zapf® Chou Chou® and similar dolls.

About the patterns
All patterns come with a full sewing description that explains how to sew the various items. All sewing descriptions start with a color picture of the clothes that you can make with that pattern. The pictures are also listed on most product pages.

Our patterns are printed on regular paper, not tissue paper and most pieces are ready to be cut, there is no need to reduce or enlarge. Some patterns have pieces that need to be traced first and if this is the case it will always be stated clearly on the product page.

I create these patterns with a lot of care, however sometimes I do make a mistake and leave an error in the patterns. I cannot be held responsible for any damage personal or other, incurred directly or indirectly from the information given in the patterns or description.

Happy Sewing,
Christel Dekker
