We have designed the patterns to fit 17” (43cm) dolls wearing a diaper. The list of customer wishes was our guideline when we designed this pattern and we feel that we have added clothes that you will like for your little boy dolls. There are winter and summer basics in this pattern so your little baby boy doll will be happily dressed the whole year.

BD1612 is completely in English and you will be sent very detailed sewing instructions in English. The first page of the pattern description for BD1612 is a full-colour page with photos of all the clothes. Because of the size of this pattern (there are a lot of clothes with large pieces) all 31 pieces need to be traced prior to using. All pieces are the correct size so enlarging isn’t necessary. The pattern pieces are drawn on 4 pattern sheets: A to D. The pattern pieces are clearly arranged on the sheets so tracing will be easy. Most rectangular pieces are drawn on the pattern sheets and only two pieces will have to be 'cut to size'.

All clothes are suitable for less experienced seamstresses. The clothes consist of relatively few pieces and that makes this pattern perfect for beginners and those of us who only have little time for sewing. Furthermore, you will need very few notions and all clothes can be made quite quickly.

Most fabrics were bought in the USA. Some clothes, like the turtle neck sweater, have to be sewn from fabric that stretches quite a lot. Beside knit fabrics, I used fleece for the orange pants and jacket. The plaid pants are made of cotton. For the cuffs I used scraps from other knit clothes. You may use special double knit fabric for the cuffs but good quality stretchy knit fabric work just as well and you will have them readily available from the other clothes.

The embroideries you see are simple designs I made especially for these clothes. As there is only 1 color, your embroidery machine will finish them in 2 minutes. For the appliqué cat I used a smal scrap of felt. The shape was cut out after embroidering the cat head on the sweater.
